45…

A triangular number…

Not to get political, but Trump is our 45th president.

I also turned 45 on my birthday a couple weeks ago…

It is sobering to think that I could be more than half way done with this life! I think I missed my mid-life crisis years and didn’t even get to buy me a sports car… Toyota Camry it is!

I did buy a 40th Anniversary Ford Mustang when I was 30… I hope I live past 60!

Anyways, last year on my 44th, I wrote about that being a year of reflection. I think that I accomplished that and in trying to figure out what this year’s theme is going to be for me, I think I have determined it will be the year that I get healthy again!

Knee surgery in fall of 2017 after tearing my meniscus has resulted in over a year of pain and some moments of depression and I gained 30 pounds… I have been on a path since January 3rd to get back on track and have lost a little bit of weight just by working out again and watching my diet. I am still limited, but hey, that’s a whole other story that no one really cares about. We all have our own pains and problems to deal with, am I right?

Anyways, I intend to figure out a healthy way to manage my knee pain that will allow me to regain some cardio capacity and by the end of this year, I will be back in the type of shape that I like when I look in the mirror.

45 is a triangular number and one could argue that my body type is a bit triangular as well! (Not really, but it was a nice tie back and sort of funny?)

Here’s to a year of healthy living and I promise not to write about it constantly in my blog as I am just as annoyed by “those people” as you are! (But, if you are interested in an update, feel free to email me or reach out in some other way)

I have an accountability group that will keep me honest and focused.

  1. 45 is when I went through my “transition” to lose weight and get in shape. I did it to keep from having to buy new bigger clothes. I ended up having to buy new smaller clothes. I guess that’s a good thing, but it was still expensive! I’m cheering for ya and praying for ya – YOU CAN DO THIS!!
